Advantages of using filler slab roof concrete required in this technology is about 20 less than conventional slab construction. Thus the filler slab as the roof has the following advantages. Filler slab is alternate slab construction technology where part of concrete in bottom of slab is replaced by filler material due to reduced concrete and thus about 40 less steel is required so these fillar slab technology make huge difference between normal slab cost and fillar slab cost. Consumes less concrete and steel due to reduced weight of slab by the introduction of a less heavy low cost filler.

Due to heat resistant qualities of filler materials and the gap between two burnt clay tiles it enhances thermal comfort inside the building. Advantages of filler slabs there is considerable saving in concrete and steel by adopting rcc filler slabs instead of conventional rcc solid slabs and approximate cost saving is rs 200 sqm. Due to reduced concrete self weight of the slab is reduced and thus about 30 less steel is required without compromising strength of the slab.
