I talked to my old vw dealer in chicago and the mechanic told me that ecus don t go out hardly ever in his experience and neither do fuses i checked mine no blown fuse.

If you are going to buy a replacement bulb i would really recommend you to replace both bulbs.
2010 volkswagen passatcc diy easilydone replacing dipped beam headlight bulb and other bulbs are easy on this model.
What are dipped headlights powerbulbs.

Have a new ecu ballast coming but i fear it is also going to boil down to the bulbs.
Checked around for a replacement bulb and autozone wants 129 99 and i didn t bother checking with the dealer.

I have an 07 gti and i m getting this message.
A couple weeks ago my driver side headlight went out it told me front left dipped beam not working.
The most common bulb is a h7 to replace remove the cover on the rear of the lamp.
